Susannah Frankel

Susannah Frankel is an award-winning editor, fashion journalist and author. She is Editor-in-Chief of AnOther Magazine and was appointed to the role in 2016, having been Fashion Features Director of the title since its launch in 2001. Susannah was Fashion Editor of the Independent newspaper for 13 years, from 1999 to 2012. She was Fashion Editor of The Guardian from 1996 to 1999 and Fashion Director of Grazia UK from 2013 to 2015. Susannah first focussed on fashion as Deputy Editor of Blitz magazine where she worked from 1989 to 1991.

Susannah has written for various print publications including the New York Times, Vogue, W, Love and Dazed & Confused. She has authored or been a contributing author to numerous books and catalogues, among them Dries Van Noten: 100 Shows (Lanoo, 2017), Stephen Jones, Souvenirs (Rizzoli, 2016), Yohji Yamamoto (Rizzoli, 2015), Dries Van Noten Inspirations (Lanoo/Les Arts Décoratifs, 2014), Work in Process: Nick Waplington/Alexander McQueen (Damiani, 2013), Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty (Yale University Press/The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 2011), Making It Up As We Go Along: 20 Years of Dazed & Confused (Rizzoli, 2011) and Maison Martin Margiela (Rizzoli, 2009). Her first book, Visionaries: Interviews With Fashion Designers, was published by V&A Publications in 2000.

Susannah consults both creatively and on corporate communication strategies for various international brands. She has also collaborated on exhibitions including Radical Fashion at the Victoria & Albert Museum (2001) and Working Process: Nick Waplington/Alexander McQueen at Tate Britain (2015).
